BattleKart Sheffield

BattleKart Sheffield is an electric karting venue at 1 Downgate Drive, S4 8BT, combining real single-seater karts with augmented-reality game modes projected onto the floor of the hall. Six game modes are on offer (BattleRace, BattleColor, BattleSnake, BattleVirus, BattleFoot, BattlePool), and each session lasts 15 minutes including boarding and getting off, for groups of 2 to 12 players. Anyone at least 1.45m tall can drive, with no minimum age.

No helmet is required: the karts run an anti-collision system with automatic braking, and only the seatbelt has to be fastened. Casual clothing is advised, since the track can leave some dust on it. The venue also takes bookings for corporate and team-building events, handled through a dedicated enquiry form.
