About Die Kartbahn Rheine

Die Kartbahn Rheine is an indoor karting track in Rheine, operating since 1997 and taken over in 2018 by a family-run business. The site describes a fully covered track, usable all year round, about 350 metres long, where open practice sessions ("Trainingsfahrten") run with a maximum of 10 other drivers. The fleet consists of Sodi karts with Honda GX combustion engines, from 5.5 to 9 hp; the site states that all karts are technically identical, with time differences in the range of tenths of a second. Lap times are measured live and sent automatically by e-mail and through the app, with a best-times ranking published on the "Bestzeiten" page (large kart and small kart).

A free racing licence, registered once online or on site, is required for all sessions; helmets are provided and balaclavas may be brought along or bought on site. All prices are announced as day tickets per person and are non-transferable. On Sundays from 12:00 to 15:00, "Kidstime" reserves the track for children. The published group formats are the Grand Prix (from 6 people, races of 10, 15, 20 or 30 minutes, groups over 10 people split up, with qualifying, FIA light start and prize ceremony), children's birthday packages (minimum 5 children, 5.5 hp karts, soft drink and balaclava included, snacks or pizza optional) and business packages including 10 minutes of qualifying, a 10-minute race with FIA light start, snacks with one 0.2 l drink and exclusive use of the track. Booking is made online; under-16s coming without a legal guardian must bring a signed parental consent form.
