ELK Motorsport

ELK Motorsport is an outdoor karting venue in Winthorpe, near Newark, Nottinghamshire, roughly 10 minutes from Lincoln and 25 minutes from Nottingham, just off the A46 opposite Newark Showground. The venue traces its roots to karting activity that began in 1984 on a former RAF airfield, was renamed ELK Motorsport under new ownership from 2004, and opened its current 1,200 metre circuit in 2016, combining long straights with tight bends and hairpin turns.

Since 2023 the venue has focused exclusively on adult karting, with a minimum age of 17, after ending children's sessions. You drive a fleet of twin-engine karts, and helmets, race suits and a wet weather suit are provided, while you are expected to bring your own trainer-style shoes. Sessions run Wednesday to Sunday by advance booking only, with the venue closed Monday and Tuesday, and the site offers a mobile app with live timing and leaderboards, plus private and group events requiring a minimum of 20 drivers for exclusive hire.
