Emslandring Dankern

Emslandring Dankern offers more than 10 vehicle categories and more than 80 karts, quads or CrossKarts. Children can drive on their own from the age of 6 in MiniKarts (4 PS); from the age of 12, young drivers use the LeihKarts (5.5 PS). A hand-controlled DoppelKart (from 12 years, 6 PS) is available for people with impairments of the legs or feet, including wheelchair users, and can also be driven together with a carer. Younger children may ride in a DoppelKart with a parent or carer. The fast RennKarts and SuperKarts are kept strictly separate from the MiniKarts and LeihKarts. Every driver receives a detailed briefing on the karts and the track rules, helmets are mandatory, and helmets, rain suits and gloves are provided free of charge; only a balaclava to protect the helmet must be purchased (a hood or similar is also accepted).

Sessions last 10 minutes of pure driving time; including the briefing and the lap-time printout handed out at the end, a full session takes 20 to 30 minutes. The site states a track of more than 600 m, allowing groups of more than 18 drivers, such as school classes or teams, to drive at the same time. A raised, covered terrace provides seating for spectators; cold drinks, coffee, tea, ice cream, nachos and bratwurst are available. The Grand Prix format consists of 8 minutes of qualifying and 12 minutes of racing in RennKarts, with briefing and a podium prize-giving (medals and champagne shower), for a total of around 45 minutes on site; it can be combined with BattleKart and dinner or individual catering. For companies, event rooms and individual catering are offered. Guests of the Ferienzentrum Schloss Dankern receive vouchers worth a total of 7 € per house, handed out at reception on arrival.
