Grand Bend Speedway & Go Kart Centre
About Grand Bend Speedway & Go Kart Centre
Grand Bend Speedway & Go Kart Centre combines a stock car racing track with a family go-kart centre in Parkhill, Ontario, just minutes from Grand Bend. Karting takes place on the same track used for car racing: a paved quarter-mile (about 400 m) tri-oval built in 1996.
Two kart categories are offered: Pro Karts, for ages 13 and up (minimum height 5'/153cm, top speed 45 km/h), and Junior/Double Rider Karts, for ages 5 and up (minimum height 4'/122cm, top speed 16 km/h), which never run on track at the same time as the Pro Karts. Each session lasts 20-25 minutes (training and briefing followed by about 10 minutes of racing) and is first-come, first-served with no reservation required. The venue is open daily from noon to 5pm in summer (June through early September), and weekends only in spring and fall, weather permitting.
