Kart-Center Erfurt

Kart-Center Erfurt operates an asphalt track built in 2017 and extended in 2020 with an outdoor section ("Außenstrecke"); the site states approximately 800 m including the outdoor section. Up to 25 karts can run at the same time, but only in professional race operation with experienced drivers and including the outdoor section; for group operation the limit is 15 karts at a time. The facility includes a track control system, racing lights and warning lamps, timing equipment, screens showing positions, lap times and best times, and a wide pit lane with coloured parking guidance and lights. The driving direction is changed weekly. A "KartWalk" walkway runs above the track and the bistro offers a panoramic view. The fleet includes the HK7 model by Hubi-Karts with a 6.5 hp petrol engine for adults, a 5.5 hp children's kart, a 9 hp Profi kart, two twin-seaters and a special kart operated exclusively by hand for people with physical impairments; all karts have roll-over protection and adjustable seats, weight compensation is available, and there are hydraulic brakes, brake lights and impact protection.

The site distinguishes three formats: training sessions (Trainingsfahrten) of 10 minutes with best lap time measurement and a standard 10-20 minute break between several sessions, race packages (Rennpakete "Großer Preis von Erfurt" or "von Thüringen") with training, qualifying, race, prize-giving and medals for places 1 to 3, and private hourly track rental including karts and staff. Students, pupils and BFD/FSJ volunteers receive, on request, a €1.00 discount on individual training sessions with the basic kart upon presentation of a valid ID. A children's birthday offer is available from 5 participants: €32 per person for 130-155 cm (5.5 hp children's kart) and €38 per person from 155 cm (6.5 hp basic kart or unrestricted children's kart), both with a briefing, 2 x 10 min of training, medals and a prize-giving based on the best lap time; this offer is not valid on Saturdays, public holidays or school holidays, and exclusive track use is only possible from 10 participants with prior registration. Prices exclude the customer/insurance card (€2.00) and, where applicable, the hygiene balaclava (€3.80). For companies, a function hall seats up to 120 people with screen, beamer, sound and lighting system, microphone, dance floor and its own bar; the site says it helps with choosing a catering company. Opening outside regular hours (except Mondays) is possible by arrangement for large groups with a flat fee of €170.00 per started hour.
