Kartbahn Lyss

Kartbahn Lyss, also known as Kartbahn Kappelen, is an outdoor karting track in Kappelen, between Bern and Biel, right off the Lyss Süd motorway exit. Open since 1965, the track has been extended and reshaped several times over the decades; its current 750-metre layout runs under the Lyss road through a tunnel before passing alongside the motorway bridge.

You drive petrol-powered Sodi SR5 karts (200cc, 5.5 hp, 65 km/h top speed), open from age 10 and 140cm tall, with adults and kids sharing the same 12-minute sessions. No booking is needed for an individual session; it becomes mandatory for group events of 10 people or more (Grand Prix Karting, Classic Race, Big Race, themed cups...), which are built around the venue's restaurant, fondue chalet, Racers Lounge and terrace.
