About Sulz Kartbahn

Hallenkartbahn Sulz publishes two kart categories. The 6.5 hp karts may be driven from the age of 14, with a minimum height of 1.40 m and a permitted driver weight of 110 kg: 23 euros for 15 minutes of track time and 38 euros for 30 minutes, prices including 19% VAT and quoted per person. Children aged 8 to 13 and at least 1.25 m tall drive the Juniorkart, by prior telephone booking only: 19 euros for 15 minutes, and 16 euros for 15 minutes on Saturdays and Sundays (public holidays) between 12 and 2 pm, with bookings taking priority. A promotion covering the 4 pm to 7 pm period lists 20 euros for 15 minutes and 35 euros for 30 minutes; the published text does not name the days concerned. Helmet hire is free; without a personal full-face helmet, a balaclava is required for hygiene reasons and costs 3 euros. Training tickets are also available as vouchers, valid for 3 years.

Published opening times are: Monday and Tuesday closed, except public holidays and special opening times; Wednesday to Friday 4 pm to 10 pm; Saturday 12 pm to 2 pm (Juniortime) then 2 pm to 10 pm; Sunday and public holidays 12 pm to 2 pm (Juniortime) then 2 pm to 8 pm. The site asks visitors to watch for special opening times and to call 07454/40381 with any question or for bookings outside opening hours. For groups, three races are offered, including briefing, 8 minutes of qualifying, grid start with lights, the race itself, race monitoring on the scoreboard and a printout of the results: 45 euros per driver for an 18-minute race, 55 euros per driver for a 30-minute race, and 52 euros per driver on every Formula 1 race Sunday from 4 pm to 8 pm. Bookings are possible from 8 to 12 drivers and should be made by telephone in advance; from 12 drivers the group counts as an exclusive booking. The track can be booked exclusively for larger events, including outside the stated opening hours.
