TeamWorks Karting

TeamWorks Karting York is one of six UK venues in the TeamWorks Karting chain, based at Kathryn Avenue, Monks Cross Leisure Park in York. Karting here is indoor, with a minimum age of 8 and a minimum height of 125cm for the standard karts. Younger drivers can use Cadet Karts, run on Sundays as the Cadet Club for under-16s, or Bambino karts for ages 4 to 8, a format the chain describes as available only at this venue. The karting line-up includes Karting 30, a standard session of 30 minutes of track time split into multiple races, Unlimited Karting on Monday nights for drivers 16 and over, and two group formats: Grand Prix Karting, with the track reserved for a minimum of 10 drivers aged 16 and over, and Team Racing, a 2-hour Le Mans-style race for adult groups of 30 drivers or more. Pre-booking is described as essential across the chain, through the online booking page.

The York venue also runs children's karting parties for groups of 10 or more, using Cadet Karts for ages 8 and up, in exclusive sessions of 1 to 3 hours. It has conference facilities, catering and a bar/cafe on site, and hosts corporate events, team-building days and stag and hen parties with exclusive track access for the group. On-site parking is available. Full-face helmets, race suits, balaclavas and gloves are provided; closed-toe shoes must be brought by the driver.
